Casa de Vinhago is actively involved in the production of natural wines, with minimal manipulation at the winery, always attempting to capture the essence of the territory/terroir.

We strongly believe that good wines are mostly produced at the vineyard. Therefore, we invest significantly in maintaining a natural and balanced ecosystem at every estate and we are actively working on advancing to biological production.

Távora-Varosa is a blessed territory for the production of  "Espumante" so the base wines are made by slow pressing and fermented at controlled temperature (15 °C - 17 °C), resulting in naturally acidid riped wines.

The whites and roses are produced by slow pressing and fermented at controlled temperature (15 °C - 17 °C).

The harvest is manual, and the grapes are carefully transported in 20kg ventilated cases to our winery.

The best grapes are selected for some red wines and stomped barefoot in the traditional manner. The extraction process is crucial to create balanced wines that capture the essence of the terroir.

Some Red wines age in 250 litre barrels of French and Portuguese oak for less than one year.
